When it comes to good times in Allen Park, the best place to go for some drinks and some food and some sports on the TV is B. Boomer's! Yes, the very same place that's been going strong since at least the mid-'80s is still kicking and doing it well! They closed down for a short time around 2013, much to the locals' dismay, but rejoice because it's open again, and visit often to keep it that way! The vibe hasn't changed, same great food and service, same great sports memorabilia. All the things that you always loved about it are still there at this Allen Park gem. Do not miss it. Very highly recommended.
The Broadcast Booth

The Broadcast Booth is one of the newer places in Allen Park, having opened in recent years to much fanfare and appreciation from the locals who were really wanting something new and exciting in the downtown area. That prime spot is a major highlight, but what makes you keep coming back for more is the fact that it's so spacious and comfortable, the service is so good, and they've got a separate video game room that's really a blast when you want to get away from the party and enjoy a little old school (and new school!) gaming action. Awesome speciality drinks too.
Moro's Dining

This absolute gem is tucked away on the main Allen Park downtown strip, sort of hard to notice it as it juts out of a group of buildings sort of away from the main flow of traffic. Right there in the midst of coney islands, coffee shops, and comic book stores is this high class Italian restaurant that is rumored to be the very best restaurant in Allen Park and possibly in all of the Downriver area. In fact, we'd be tempted to scratch that off the rumor mill and enter it as plain fact! It really is wonderfully charming and impressive. Old fashioned without being dated, this one's the real deal. Wonderful steaks, seafood, pastas, and all your Italian favorites. 100% authentic.
On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

A chain restaurant that really gets it right is On the Border, and this location on "the hill" in Allen Park is a must-visit if you're out and about. You'll love the array of delicious Mexican fare that is offered here. We love the endless enchiladas on certain days and the queso dip is always fantastic. The desserts are just as delectable as the speciality drinks. You'll find yourself whiling the time away over your tall alcoholic beverage, having great conversations with your limousine friends, and just enjoying such wonderful service all night long. Wonderful outdoor seating makes this one of our top recommendations!
